Central to CFAN's culture is our commitment to quality within all functions of the company. Using the widely recognized Six-Sigma methodology, we focus on eliminating defects and reducing variation in shop floor and transactional processes alike.

Our quality system is qualified per MIL-Q-9858A and is AS9000 certified. CFAN operates under FAA ACSEP requirements and will obtain FAR 145 repair station approval in 1999.

To ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards, CFAN has invested in equipment and systems providing in-house capability for critical functions such as non-destructive testing, lab testing and equipment calibration.

Our experience in pioneering the complex processes required to manufacture the GE90 wide chord composite fan blade has resulted in a large scale effort to implement statistical process control in the critical steps of the manufacturing process. To that effect, CFAN has developed MOTTS, an extensive Oracle based data warehouse which provides data on hundreds of manufacturing process parameters on a daily basis.

Using Six-Sigma techniques, cross-functional teams of production associates and support personnel define Critical to Quality (CTQ) parameters and analyze data to improve and control our processes. In some of our most successful projects, CFAN suppliers and/or customers are an integral part of the team.
