Prepreg is received on our dock and stored in our freezers. The material is then transferred to our 22,000 sqft. clean room where it is cut to specifications on one of our GFM ultrasonic ply cutting systems. Flat pattern ply shapes have previously been downloaded from CATIA or AutoCAD. 

Depending on the product, the material may be laid up on our General Scanning laser projection systems to create a preform. 

The preform is moved out of the clean room and cured in one of our two TEC autoclaves. The larger autoclave is 12 ft. in diameter and 30 ft. long. Both autoclaves can reach a temperature of 800ºF and pressures of 300 psi. 

Alternatively, preforms can be cured in one of our three 500 ton high precision Murdock presses. State of the art controls provide the presses with exceptional position and force accuracy designed to meet the most challenging cure characteristics. 

Near net shapes are milled to final dimensions on our CNC five axis gantry machining centers, which can accommodate large dimension parts up to 750 cubic feet. Spindle speeds of up to 23,000 rpm can cut the toughest advanced composite materials.  

Dimensional evaluations are performed on one of our two LK coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
